This monthly retainer is for us to provide services on a fixed-fee or hourly billable time. Our billable hourly rate for our non-member and traditional billing clients is $500-$600 per hour depending on the attorney. STL records time in increments of rounded tenths of an hour, with the minimum increment being one-tenth (0.1) of an hour. Retainer may also be applied to any flat-fee services or projects that shall be approved in advance by client.

All retainer funds will be deposited into an Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Account (IOLTA) and held in trust until such funds are earned. Legal fees will be billed against the retainer as services are rendered. STL shall provide periodic statements detailing all time billed against the retainer and the remaining balance.

Any portion of the retainer that remains unutilized for billed time will continue to reside in the trust account. Upon written request from the Client, any unused portion of the retainer may be refunded, subject to the resolution of any outstanding fees or expenses.
