Startup Legal Consultancy

For Founders From Founders

Legal counsel from ex-founders who’ve survived mad investors, awful co-founders and too many dreadful pitch decks.

We give practical guidance to keep you moving.

We act for founders because we have built businesses ourselves. Our advice is practical and commercially focused, covering company formation, intellectual property, investor negotiations and growth agreements.

We spot risks early so they do not harden into costly disputes, and we draft documents that protect value without slowing momentum. We explain legal risk plainly so directors can make clear, confident decisions.

Our fee terms are transparent, our counsel is candid, and our priority is to keep options open as your venture grows.

Law that keeps you building, not bogged down!

SEIS and EIS: expert preparation and eligibility advice

What are SEIS & EIS?

The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme and the Enterprise Investment Scheme are UK government-backed tax incentive schemes intended to encourage private investment in smaller companies. Each scheme offers investors carefully structured tax advantages to reduce the financial risk of backing early and growth-stage businesses.

SEIS is aimed at companies seeking initial seed capital, whereas EIS supports later-stage expansion. The two schemes operate alongside one another to provide a tax-efficient pathway from launch through scale. Eligibility rules, qualifying periods and investor protections differ between them, so obtain bespoke legal and tax advice before acting.

"SEIS & EIS are powerful investor-confidence tools, but their success depends on your legal structure being clean, compliant, and investor-ready, which is where we come in."

As a UK-qualified solicitor, I advise organisations on navigating the evolving landscape of AI, data, and digital regulation, helping them build compliant, transparent, and accountable systems aligned with the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

Experience and career highlights include:

  • Corporate Solicitor at a leading UK law firm, advising on cross-border technology, IP, and AI compliance matters for startups, scale-ups, and listed companies.

  • Managing Partner at Atka & Partners, a London-based boutique advisory supporting clients on AI governance, risk readiness, and investor-facing due diligence.

  • Head of Product Compliance at RevAIsor, where I built an end-to-end AI risk management system aligned with the EU’s high-risk classification framework and implemented bias audit methodologies.

  • Advisor to British brands and public institutions, embedding ethical AI practices across finance, defence, and digital services, including pilots with the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence AI Centre.

  • Published Author in international journals such as Nordic Journal of European Law and Navigating the AI Revolution, with work focusing on algorithmic accountability, synthetic data, and AI ethics.

  • Mentor & Educator with UCL Entrepreneurs, AI Forge, and ForHumanity, supporting founders, policymakers, and compliance teams in developing robust AI governance models.

My career started right in the midst of the dot-com boom back in 1999 as a corporate attorney at a large firm where I was an associate in their venture capital and technology group. Since then, I've been a founder launching VC-backed companies and have spent close to 20 years as a digital marketing agency owner, and as a CMO in various startups to pre-IPO unicorns.

My experience and career highlights include:

  • Corporate attorney in the venture capital and technology group at a top Philadelphia law firm.

  • Founder of 360 Media, a digital marketing agency working with clients including the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, IHG Hotels, Restaurant.com, Wired Magazine, Best Western, Alliance Business Centers.

  • CMO of Infobip, a global CPaaS company and pre-IPO unicorn.

  • Founder and CEO of GoSend, Inc., an international e-com and logistics company.

  • Founder of LoSo, Inc., a vc-funded mobile marketing, automation and rewards platform.

  • Director of Global Digital Marketing at Agilent Technologies.

  • Expert-level account-based marketing consultant to clients including fintech, procurement & supply chain, cloud storage, cybersecurity and a variety of startups. Featured speaker at the Forrester B2B Summit on account-based marketing.
